Joanna L. Darvish

Joanna Darvish is a creative and effective civil litigator, focusing her practice on crafting individually-tailored, cost-conscious litigation plans to favorably resolve litigation matters at the earliest stage possible. Her practice focuses on litigating business, real estate, construction and insurance matters for individuals, small businesses, large corporations and public entities. Joanna brings enthusiasm and a competitive spirit to handling client matters.

She has experience from the inception of litigation, from preparing and responding to demand letters, to filing Preliminary Injunctions and Writs of Possession, through trial and post-judgment motions. She has practiced before California Courts across Southern California, and has privately arbitrated matters. Joanna has taken and defended many fact witness and expert depositions on complex matters, and has successfully brought and defended dispositive motions.

Joanna’s practice includes handling matters of fraud, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duties, trademark, employment, and conversion, as well as numerous others.

As a regular volunteer attorney for the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Domestic Violence Project, Joanna assists domestic violence victims with preparing the complicated and lengthy legal documents required in order to file for a Temporary Restraining Orders.

Joanna received her J.D. from California Western School of Law, and was a member/writer of the California Western Law Review. While in law school, Ms. Darvish clerked in the General Counsel office of the United Service Automobile Association (USAA) specializing in ERISA issues. In the Spring of 2001, she served as a certified legal intern for the San Diego City Attorney’s Office, Domestic Violence Unit. She received her Juris Doctorate in 2001, having been named to the Dean’s List. She was also awarded the Academic Achievement Award for her accomplishments in Real Property Finance. She has a M.A. degree in Speech Communication and a B.A. degree in Mass Communications/Journalism from Southern Nazarene University.
